What is the general opinion of the MORE PT6 program? Can you realistically run a PT6-34 to 8000 hours? I would appreciate any info on the program.
We would be flying around 400-500 hours a year.
Thanks

Just because you CAN run them to 8000 hours doesn't mean they WILL keep running until 8000 hours.

Also, I seem to recall that the overhaul cost of a MORE engine is higher (and the core value lower) since there are more parts that are worn out.

Pay for it now or pay for it later...

NEVER buy a plane that is already on the MORE program. It's lipstick on a pig. If you buy it, pucker up!

You can take an engine to those numbers, but I don't believe you'll find that the MORE program makes sense with respect to the economics of keeping it up. I've looked at it in the past when considering options, and never found it favorable.
