How long after the interview do folks usually find out if they got hired? Also...this is trivial in the big picture, but was just curious...I know they give all you guys blackberrys....do you use that as your personal phone as well? If so what kind of plan are you on...and does mom and dad slap your hand if you go over your minutes???

The wait varies...for me it was less than 48 hours.

The phone is not meant to replace your personal phone.

I found out in a couple of days, but that was before they were waiting on the background check. Now, they don't make an offer until the background check is done, so as he said, the wait varies.

No. On your off days, it can only be used for company business only.

While on the road, we are permitted to use it for "occasional and incidental personal use," and I'll generally use it for my calls home during my workdays. That's no problem at all. They pretty much leave it to be us to be reasonable about it, and that works fine.

Never heard a word about my usage, so I guess I'm being reasonable.

I have no clue what kind of plan they're on, but I'm sure it's a huge shared group plan. I never see the bill... thank goodness!

so i'm told that there is a written test of sorts during the interview...is that your standard ATP 121 test or do they actually do it based on 135 stuff??

135,weather,basic airspace stuff,a nice mix,hit the far/aim (you can access it online for nada), review your JEPPS,and you will be good to go !
