Furlough letters went out today, effective 05 Feb. 99 more guys and gals, including yours truly. Best of luck to all.

What a shame. Just a couple of years ago I was an advocate of ATA on this board. Now I'm disappointed and frustrated with the current management of this company. Two weeks ago I was on a trip and the FO had a message on his phone when we landed in New York. Yes, it was his furlogh notice. And today the company calls guys on Saturday and gives them a two week notice. How nice.

Best of luck to all the guys leaving. Hope you all get on with SWA (Congrats HarleyGuy), and I'd be honored to sit in the right seat beside any of you guys in the future. It's been a pleasure flying and being associated with you all.

Boy does this business suck.

Probably. They haven't released the lowest furlough seniority number. But from looking at the january seniority list, and guessing how many have quit already, the 131 furloughs look to me like everybody not in class before june 2003. It's definitely everyone in my class from aug 03. Best of luck to your buddy.

Furloughs are even split between 757 and 737 pilots. Not sure how ATA is going to cover all the 757 flying considering they haven't retrained anyone and there is a bunch of military flying on the table for February....

Been a great place to work and hopefully ATA can figuire out what kind of airline they want to be, I hope it is a profitable one....
