We flew to KSUS about a year ago for a meeting with Monsanto. Had lunch with the chief pilot, (I can't remember his name I'm old) he was a very nice guy and I recall thinking that I wouldn't mind working for him.

My impressions of the other people in the department were very favorable. Seemed like a first class operation with very friendly people. At the time, I think they had a new Hawker 800XP, Some flavor of a Citation and a GIV.

They now have 2-3 Hawker 800XP's and a Citation V (maybe two).

They hired three a while back. They went out of their way to contact me to update my information (which I did), then they called me a week later and told me they were going to bring me in for an interview.

Never heard from them again. I was even already typed in the HS125.

I tried contacting them (the D.O. and C.P.) and never heard back from them. Come to find out they did in fact hire three guys. One of which they hired I know flew a 135 trip for a prior employer only to leave the gear down the entire leg. He did not realize it until he was turning final at the destination when he went to reach for the handle. His comment was "I wondered why my indicated airspeed was so low."

Makes you wonder about the quality there....

I applied last year too. Having lots of Hawker time, along with a checkairman letter in the airplane and a recommendation from a retired Monsanto pilot....I figured I would at least get a phone call.

Got a letter a few months later stating they hired someone "whose qualifications were more impressive". Found out they hired one or two guys from Trans States with no corporate experience.
