Anyone know where to get good 1:100 model replicas of commercial aircraft? I have looked online but there are so many and most are 1:200 size.

If you are looking for plastic models to build, no one makes 1:100 scale anymore. However, Entex used to make several, including most of the Boeings, and the L-1011. You can sometimes find them on Ebay, but they are usually pretty expensive. The B-747 one they made was advertised as the largest plastic model airplane ever built.

Ebay is king for airplane models!

airliners.net has a side thing called The Airplane Shop... try there. They have a lot of stuff.

Call Atlantic Models in MIA. I don't know about the scale issue, but the examples I saw of their work in the lobby of a training building were very high quality. The guy I talked with there was very accomodating. They didn't have license to make models from the particular company I needed but he told me where to go ( so to speak ).

Also, Pacific Miniatures in CA. www.pacmin.com talked with Sandy @ 714-447-4478 X 17. She was also very helpful.

Entex (also Nitto or M&B using the same molds) also made a 1:100 B-767-200 in addition to their 707-320B/C, 727-200, 737-200, and 747-100/200. The 747 kit was incredible, detailed right down to the anti-static wicks. Alas, no 757s. They also made some Douglas stuff: DC-3, DC-8-62, DC-9-40, DC-10-30.

VEB Plasticart of East Germany made 1:100 kits of mostly Soviet airliners. Not very good quality, but a good base to start from for kit bashers and detailers. The aircraft: An-12, An-24; Il-18, Il-62; Let-410; Tu-104, Tu-114, Tu-134, Tu-144, Tu-154, Yak-24P, Yak-40. Also a Dassault Mercure.

Revell/Lodela also made a 1:94 (or 1:96?) F-27 and Viscount.
