MMPR.....again

Hey guys, I have posted on PV before in the past but we are headed back to Puerto Vallarta the end of January, maybe back to back trips and I was wondering what you guys thought about the Marriott CasaMagna. We've stayed at the Villa Premiere, Buenaventura, and Sheraton Buganvillas in the past and all were nice, but I was looking at changing it up a bit this time. Any other recommendations anyone has would be appreciated.

Westin in Nuevo Vallarta.... very nice hotel! Close to the airport too.

If the Marriott you are talking about is the one in near the Marina, it is nice. Close to the Airport, clean rooms(very clean rooms by Mexican standards) and their Tortilla Soup and Nachos are awesome.

Nuevo Vallarta has some nice hotels. The beaches are nicer, but it is a bit of ride to PV. 20-30 min.

I always stayed at the Marriott. A very nice clean hotel and easy walking distance to the marina. The marina has great restaurants and bars. A taxi into town is very cheap.

In fact I much preferred hanging around the marina area to going downtown, but then I'm an old fart. However, there are some really good restaurants in PV, on the south end of town there is a really great Argentine Steak house. Sorry, I can't remember the name now, oh the steaks come from Texas.

In any case, have a good time.

I prefer the casa magna too.

You have to go into town at night and check out the Malecon and all those young chicas that stroll along there, He-he, he-he, he-he!!!

I stayed at the Casa Magna and had my credit card number stolen and they used the number to spend $10000 at a walmart there. Nice hotel however. Be sure and take a trip to Eden. It is south of PV across from Lajolla De Mismaloya, cool place , you can swim in the river and they used to have rope swings from the dining room to the pool in the river below. Schwartzenegger filmed predator there, still have the copter there out front. Used to have a trained monkey who would cuddle with girls in bikinis then yank their tops down as everyone snapped pics.
