MMES - Im there for four days. Things to do, but most importantly a decent hotel. I've only done Cabo and Puerto Vallarta in the past so I'm a newbie to this one and the runway looks like its sub 5000 feet. Any seasoned pros care to give me some info? Thanks!

MMES is a Mexican Air Force Base.

The runway is fine... no sweat there. I flew a BE-350 there... plenty long. The part that sucks is that when I flew there, all we had was an NDB approach. You get marine layer down there just like you do in San Diego, so it can get a little tricky as the NDB approach will only get you down to about 1000 feet.

Things to do..

You'll see activities on that site. I don't know if you surf, but good surfing down there...

Have fun!

Watch out for banditos. Check out Paris and the Monkey Bar.)

Any problems with security at the airport? I say that tongue-in-cheek as I know how it is down there, but most of my experience is limited to the bigger airports. Just wanted to get a rough idea of how "Americanized" the area is. Thanks again guys! Appreciate the help.
