CW, he's another thing to consider. A lot of pilots, back when they were young, myself included, never considered flying business jets. When you started flying that flight instructor was probably telling you how much he'd love to work for the airlines. Or if you went military, that IP was probably saying how he's going to seperate in a couple of years and get a job flying for FEDEX. Not too many people consider going corporate until your too far down the 121 ladder.
Going corporate is a better lifestyle choice for SOME people, it certainly is for me, but I also never planned on being a corporate pilot, I just kind of fell into it, and now I'm a point where I can't/won't leave it.
The real differnce between corporate and 121 jobs is that there is no union protection, that's good and bad! On the low end there are some real shady operators out there, on the other hand there are some corporate jobs that have a much better lifestyle/pay than any union job!
Certainly, I would encourage EV120 not to leave his job unless he has something real good lined up, but going corporate can certainly put a smile on your face!
