Just wondering if anyone knows of any good opportunities in the Milwaukee area. I have been instructing for nearly two years now, but just can't pay the bills anymore, and am going to have to get a non flying job. I have 1000/200 in the logbook, and nearly 3 years in managment. BS in Aviation (wish i could take that one back). Just curious if anyone has any good ideas for me, Im pretty confused on what to do, all I ever wanted to do was fly, but I know that I can't afford a pay cut, or the quality of life at the regionals right now. I plan on moving to the area around June, so any suggestions would be great. Good luck to all of you still fighting the good fight.

Oh, and one more question...Is milwaukee's best really milwaukee's best?

The BEAST is definitely NOT the best! (but i don't live there so i don't know what is)

yeah, they have my resume. Just looking for any ideas at all flying or not. Apparently you actually have to pay back all the money they give you during college, you think someone would have told me.

MKE jobs

I am close to MKE as well. It is a great area for corporate flying, instructing, and even has airlines. You can make more money instructing than you will at the airlines, seeing as most are paying between 14-20k to start. Get on with an FBO in UES, MWC, or UGN that has a twin, watch your hours and money grow while you look for aviation employment, or other employment.

try the following airports

Timmerman North of MKE they have an FBO with a charter dept.
Kenosha has anBFO
Waukeshau
Madison

WIth skyway airlines hiring tons in the next few months I would be that these places are losing some of their CFIs.
In my class we had a few guys from Kenosha and one from Madison

iceman, I have read your situation on the other boards. although I am not in your shoes, I do empathize with you! anyway i agree with many others and belive with a kid on the way you may want to persue other opportunities. give me a pm and i will give you a heads up on some non-aviation ideas that could make you some good money, and perhaps give you a chance to continue flying. MKE, and nothern Ill.have some great opportunities if you are willing to apply yourself, otherwise if you want to keep instructing, get out there and market yourself and get a job asap. good luck bud, and i hope that things have been looking better for you.

When you get 2000tt, 400+ multi look up Freight Runners Express at MKE for a position as a Beech 99 Captain.
