I heard from a coworker that she was attending a seminar this weekend (as in the one we just had) very close to Travis AFB in No Cal. Anyone else hear about this? I didn't see this publicized anywhere. Was this open to anyone or is HPA targeting military pilots? Was this an inside track or just an info session on HPA services? I was told they would be accepting resumes which sounds weird as SWA has its online app. What gives???

Drumming up business?

When I was an Instructor at Altus AFB, OK, back in fall of 2002, they drove up to Altus to do a "seminar" at the local college. Then they were just looking for business, I guess... You'd think they'd be overwhelmed at present though...??

Prob just a well intended marketing attempt to get more customers from the military side of the house.

Not unlike ALL ATP's who back in the day (well even now) was "the place" for military guys to get a quick ATP rating

Higher Power is likely trying to be (hey, this is America) "the place" for the B737 type. And why not? Already clearly a reputable operation, fly into DFW from anywhere in the world and you are on-site, plus established contacts between Higher Power and LUV.
