Is there a website or other place that I can find out about a military plane that crashed back in the '50's? Thanks,bell47

You will be hard pressed to get any real information on any mishap in the military. We have privileges regarding mishap information that the civilian world does not.

We do not, rather we cannot release most information on mishaps even with FOIA requests. You might be able to find brief overviews of military mishaps but you will not find a data base like the NTSB's that has info on all mishaps.

Additionally, units can purge old mishap data after a few years. So finding data on a crash in the '50s other than a possible news report will be nearly impossible.

But good luck anyway.

Talk to the folks at the Kirtland AFB safety center. They could tell you where to look. This stuff is not Top Secret by any means.
