Hey guys. Talking to Midwest Corporate about flying King Airs out of Liberal or Great Bend. Looking for any and all info. Is it a good job? How much time would I need to be Capt? How much r Capts paid? Any and all would be appreciated.
I believe the pilot you talked to that works there would be the best bet for inside info. I don't know too much about LifeTeam (MWCA's EMS operation), but I know they run a PIC/SIC operation, so even if you don't meet the Captain's mins, maybe you can get on as an SIC.
As far as an EMS job goes, I can tell you that I love it. It's the most interesting job I've had, and it's got the best schedule that I've ever had too. It gives you a good feeling knowing that you're helping someone in need. Plus, getting priority into everywhere (most of the time) is nice too!
I'm talkin with them about a capt. slot....I've been told the street capts are hired with 2000-2500hr range, they do have an SIC's who fly the 91 legs.
Cool guys thx. It would take me like 2 years to get those times working there. We'll see maybe Ill see ya out there. For a PIC position its worth it but not SIC if theres no quick upgrade I think.
MCA has a great group of guys at the top of the food chain there. I worked there part time during one furlough and they treated me great. Biggest mistake I made was leaving that part time job to back to a regional...what the hell was I thinking?
