A word from those who already have the T shirt.

The corporate pilot requirments in the ME and especially UAE is increasing.

Beware the stupid salary that you will be offered: 9k US for a 11 on 1 off, based contract.

There are several operators who are working via recruitment agencies, or "leasing" companies to recruit for example GV crew. In 350 recently GV captains and first officer required.

The contracts that all are given are flawed in either bias to the company, in direct non compliance with the local labour laws, and are just not worth the sand they are written with.

I do not know ONE corporate pilot here who actually respects his company management.

So please treat all offers from the third world with caution, and speak to those who have been there, and got the T shirt.

regards,

Just curious, are you speaking about NAS/ NetJets ME?

I have communicated several times with a Gulfstream captain with NJME. Says he loves it, will never go back to his major.

The pay he mentioned wasn't especially great though, especially for FO's.

He told me his sked was something like month on, month off, I think....Company buys his commercial ticket back stateside, etc. Based in Saudi.

Different strokes I guess. I'm also out here in the ME flying corporate for a US company, and enjoy it for the most part. I'm also not married, so I can take a bit more time over here and not have it affect matters back home.

I suppose there are going to be downsides to any job you take, I am just lucky the downsides we have are currently outweighed by the positives (for now at least, all subject to change of course).

But I agree, be cautious out here.
