well here it is, despite all the nay-sayers, the official notification of midatlantic callups

Date: June 10, 2004 Interoffice Correspondence

From: Keith D. Houk

Subject: Pilot Positions at MidAtlantic Airways (MDA)

Based on the response to date from US Airways pilots on the Affected Pilot List (APL) regarding
MDA pilot positions, it is anticipated that pilot positions at MDA will soon be offered to pilots at
Allegheny, Piedmont and PSA for July 2004 training classes. This memo and the attachment provide an
overview regarding these job opportunities and the process for indicating a preference for and being
awarded such a position.

As I think you are aware, the Restructuring Agreement signed between Allegheny and ALPA provides
job opportunity provisions for Allegheny pilots, as well as pilots from the other Participating Wholly
Owned Carriers, to pilot positions at MDA after all US Airways pilots on the Affected Pilot (APL) lists
had been offered positions. The order of eligibility for wholly owned pilots is determined by their order
of seniority on the wholly owned Combined Eligibility List (CEL) , which has been produced by the
MEC’s of Piedmont, Allegheny and PSA. The CEL only governs order of eligibility for pilot positions at
MDA. In addition to the order of eligibility on the CEL, pilot positions will be offered based on a pilot’s
indicated preference, which will be on file and function as a permanent bid for purposes of positions at
MDA. The CEL database will be online at *site url snipped* and pilots will be able to
indicate, view, and update their preference. This site will be activated on June 11, 2004 and Allegheny
pilots are encouraged to indicate their preference. Known class and bid closing dates will also be
posted online. US Airways will notify pilots of class dates based on their CEL seniority and indicated
preference. Please be aware that pilots accepting job opportunities at MDA will become employees of
MDA and will cease to be employees at their former Participating Wholly Owned Carrier.

It is anticipated that the first MDA class of 12 First Officer vacancies for wholly owned pilots will
commence Monday, July 5, 2004. Preferences on the CEL website will be frozen for that class at
midnight on Sunday, June 20, 2004 and notifications will begin the next day.

I recognize that there will probably be questions that are not covered by this memo or the attached
pages. In order to consistently address questions, the CEL website will have a “Submit a Question”
feature and responses will be posted on the website.

That is good to hear. It figures that this happens immediately AFTER I give my notice, story of my life I guess. The future at MDA is still a very big question mark of course, but I'd love to see all those nay-sayers on the crew voice back-pedal on this now. "Where is my number Ernie!". I'm sure those folks will now have some other sorry excuse though. You planning on heading over there when your number comes up Dash?

We still dont have seniority numbers, and all the flow through in the world wont mean a thing in a number of very possible scenerio's that could unfold (what do you think loa 91 is about). But miricles are always possible and maybe the WO's will be able to secure something in the near future

noooo,
my career line does not include working at another airline, or airlines in general (hopefully)
so i'm not gonna take up a job commuting, going through indoc and training, and back to the bottom of a list again just for a couple bucks an hour more,
good luck to everyone that does,

get their jetblue training and move on
