Anyone heard anything regarding the upgrades at mesaba? Are the going to hold true to the min. time at company i think it is 2000 at XJ. is that true?

I Believe it is atp mins and 1000 company time and the company time is reduceable. Most junior captain is DTW hire sept 04

1000 mesaba block or two years active with company. No qualifiers = reduction of years of service until they have a qualifier. No qualifiers by the end of the list = release of seat locks then street captains.

I noticed on the latest award a few CRJ900 F.O's were awarded SF340 captain and bypassed until January 08'. Im not sure how that works but will they now receive SF340 captain pay while cruising around in the right seat of the CRJ900? Sounds like a sweet deal except for not being able to long PIC time.

Last week was a cluster in MSP with the runway construction and weather. Just curious who is responsible for the lost revenue NWA or MAC? Is last week going to eat into my profit sharing check?

Ha Ha....he said profit sharing...

Do you mean the "Have a beer on Mesaba (limit one per year) " program?

By the way, the most junior Saab Captain as of vacancy 7-13 was hired in Jan of 2005. There are only 34 people who were hired in 2005 (post furlough), and zero folks hired in 2006, so upgrade is now under 3 years, and soon to be one year.

As soon as that happens, the rumor mill is going into full swing that Mesaba has a less than one year upgrade as if it was a total surprise.

We'll also have FOs (mostly the UND kind) waiting for their 23rd birthdays and 1500hours to upgrade! exciting stuff...
