What determines which class you get when waiting in the pool? Does anyone know when they will put new hires into crj classes? Anyone have an idea on how long a new guy will sit on reserve fyling the saab? avro? crj? Which base would shorten that time the most? I'm just curious with the whole new fleet type how or if that will effect reserve flying. Thanks for the input.

First crj class is scheduled for early July. If you get a class before that, even if it's in the Saab, TAKE THE CLASS! Seniority is more important than what aircraft you are assigned.

You would most likely get a better schedule sooner on the Saab than the others especially if you are based in DTW or MEM. MSP is the most senior base.

I thought everyone got class dates when they get the thumbs up letter (or whatever they do now to tell you that you're hired). When the heck did we get a pool?

I didn't get that memo!

Now we get phone calls giving the thumbs up. Then a few weeks later we get a letter stating which classes are next slated. I was told I would be contacted at least 2 weeks before my class date. Whichever one that is!
