Where have the new hires been going lately?
How long would it take to get DTW if not initally awarded it right out of training?

Thanks

DTW is junior right now, but that goes back and forth with MEM. On the Saab, you will have no problem getting DTW right away. Not sure about the Avro. It does vary a little bit.

With all of the new hires for next month, no one has any idea because the new vacancy isn't out yet.

Any wag on how difficult it is for a new FO to get MSP Mel? (timewise anyway)

If hiring keeps up, 2-3 months or less on the Saab. Avro could be 1 year or more. Some Saab pilots were awarded MSP while still in training but the effective date was delayed so they did a month or two in DTW or MEM. But the Avro is a different story. Still takes quite a while to get to MSP on the Avro.

DTW and MSP

DTW is pretty easy right now. If you're not already awarded it in training, you'll get it by the next vacancy.

As far as MSP goes, if you get the Saab, it's really fast. Some guys are getting awarded MSP by the time they finish OE. BUT, if you're on the Avro, it's going to be a LONG while before you get back to MSP. There are too many guys going from MSP Saab FO to MSP Avro FO to cause any movement that way. I love flying the Avro but when it comes down to time spent with my family, I wish I was on the Saab.
