Anyone interviewed with Mesaba lately?

I have an interview next week with Mesaba and am desperately seeking insight…aviationinterviews.com as only one recent interview …
Please pm me or post here, whatever you could, to help me stay in the area...
This is the one I have been wanting for a long time…
Thanks…

Bunny

hey FB,

I'll have some good stuff for ya, what day is your interview maybe I'll see you there.

hey, just relax, don't be so nervous, it is a very relaxed interview. The interviewers will be nice and be with you long enough to get to know you. They are looking for people that are personable and good people. Do not make requests....like...." i would only want.....or that is very inconvienient for me...." There is only situational type questions in both HR and cheif pilots portions of the interview... the written at the time of the sim is a basic instrument test. good luck...

The Avro sim is a little tricky to fly with the motion on. It's a level C sim, and the lag between the motion and visuals (outside and instrument) is just within level C certification limits. This lag makes it very easy to overcontrol and this takes time to get used to, which you don't have. Use the arm rests, this helps a little.

They don't expect you to know how to fly the avro, so just relax.

They should have a low level of thrust automation on. No autothrottles, but the N1 sync should be on. This allows thrust on all engines to be synced to the number 1 or 2 engine. It has limits like a prop sync though, the thrust levers have to be close to each other. It does allow you to grab a fist full of thrust levers and set thrust using one N1 gauge.

Was just there! They go through everything you need to know. The captain does everything. You just fly instruments. They told me everything that was going to happen a week before. Climb 7000, they teach you how to do steep turns, Direct to and hold entry(right turns), ILS 30L MSP. No worrys about calls, they know you don't know there ops. Only have to call gear up. otherwise you ask for heading changes on the bug and OBS. Auto throttles on.

Everyone says it, relax. it's true!! Just have fun. They said "We want to see if you can take direction, are trainable, and can fly basic skills."

May the force be with you, always.

Hello how are you today. I am a C130 guard pilot who is activated and stationed in kuwait. I have very little info here on what is going on with Mesaba. How many people are they interviewing and hiring this year? Who di you send your resume to? Are they hiring pilots for the Detriot hub? How is the pay? If you could provide me with some info I would appreciate it. Thank you.
