Can anyone give me an approximate wait time for an interview from when the resume was faxed? The days to the end of my lease are coming quickly and need to make a move.
Also what are the competitive times these days?

I'm lost....................

getting calls 3 days after sending the resume?

Okay, that makes sense.......................

well to answer my own Q and help out others I faxed in my resume on the afternoon of fri 3-11 and was called this afternoon 3-21.
Good luck to all and thanks.

Do you know what class date they are interviewing for?

I think it is for the 4-25 class date. I am in the 3-28 and some guys in my intervew group were offered 4-25. Good luck to all.

Let me clarify. Are they interviewing for the April class or a class in May or June?

Bdy85,

When was your interview?

i got a call the thursday and the interview was on the 15th. Was hired the same day. It is a very relaxed interview.

Congrats. I'll see you in a week.

Yeah March 28.

I hoping to get some pre-study material this week but I guess aircraft assignements won't be made until the first week of class.

Do we have to sit through CSII and Fatigue again?

The last 2 vacancies have had spots for 6 and 22 newhires respectively. This is for a March 28 class. There are no further vacancies published, so you all would know more about an April class date than a line pilot would. We find out when vacancies are published. The current one closes on the 25th. With the combined vacancies there are 4 saab capt and 2 avro capt positions as well as 12 avro FO and 16 saab positions. The FO ones could change if any line OF decides to swap equipment.

BTW - the Towneplace and SpringHill suites are nice. They're next to a chilis and a wendys and not far from Byerlies and other stuff. The both beat the Homestead by a mile... but of the two, the Springhill is nicest.

I faxed my resume on jan-20
and I snail mailed on march 05
no call at all.
I will fax again today.

I got the Towne Place Suites also. See you there.

Having talked to a Chief pilot in MSP this week, he confirms that the hiring is strong at around 25 per month for at least the next 3 months.

But what is interesting is we're not upgrading 25 a month at the moment. What's the dealio??

The dealio is probably attrition and some people are just tired of playing the airline game. Saw a McDonald's billboard advertising $8.00 an hour with benefits. That's probably why Mesaba's hiring, lost a few to that **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** McD's.

Hey, congrats guys on the class date! Just a heads up though... Lately, they haven't been sending out materials in advance for studying. So don't hope to see anything before class...

hey good luck guys and gals, hey do not listen to that viper post on this page. He obviously is an idiot and or very bitter. In the recent recurrent ground school, it was said that they are going to hire about 125 through march of next year. The attrition rate is thought to be at 4 a month, but as high as 8 when a few people get the opportunity to work at another higher paid airline (or Mcdonalds) ha ha. There is something going on....more Saabs ? haha more avros? less avros? haha CRJ's??? 70 seaters....(unlikely with NWA pilots attutude) but something is going to happen, why hire 25 a month now when a few months ago, 4 a month was sufficient?

Do not be late to class, study hard, the saying goes.....learning at initial is like trying to soak up the water coming out of a fire hose........and know your calls before sim time starts

Mr. or MS. Jayhawk my wise crack was not at XJ it was the regional industry. I would call you an idiot, but that would just lower me to your standard. Don't be so sensitive and yes..I mean no... I'm not a bitter person, but I will say, reading this forum can certainly drive a person to become bitter.
