Sadly enough, MESA, while not ruling the industry, will take a major chunk of the flying. There's got to be a limit at some point. I think we are getting close to that now. Once all of the pimply 22 year old flight instructors that MESA has been hiring for years, finally hit 30 and have a family to support, they will change there minds about whoring themselves out for explosive growth and a quick upgrade. Besides, I hear the upgrade time is strecthed out to 4+ years anyhow. Next contract I would hold out for the moon. No point in whoring any longer.

IF you mean CRJ Captain upgrades, then yes...getting closer to 4 years. For Dash-8's, still very junior (recent street CA's), and the Beech is and will be available to those with ATP min's.

I have never heard more rumors about any other airline than Mesa...

It HAS happened recently (few months ago). If you have the ATP min's and get the dash, I understand there is an additional sitdown with some management types. If they think you can hack it, they'll type you.
