Hi All.

Does anybody know if Mesa is still hiring? In addition how hard is it to get a Florida base?

Thanks

don't know if they are still hiring, but I bet it would be tough to get put in Florida, all they have there are the 1900s

I believe they're still hiring, and will likely continue to do so right until the day USAirways goes under. :)

Sorry -- but seriously, 40% of Mesa's revenues come from Airways flying. They could be setting themselves up for some serious dislocations if Airways gets in trouble.

I heard there is no more hiring scheduled this year for the 1900. Still hiring into the CRJ like crazy. I would suggest you post your question on the Mesa board, at www.mesalounge.com

keep in mind the same could be said for CHQ and TSA. who knows what is going to happen. i dream of the beech's going away as part of this.

AMW's fla bases are:
EYW
TPA
PFN
PNS (just added)

all are fairly senior bases for FO's. i would imagine it will only increase as winter approaches.

Mesa will be hurt if Airways goes under. Although I won't worry about that until it happens. Mesa will not be nearly as hurt by that since we fly for multiple carriers unlike piedmont,PSA, and TSA. They are still hiring into the jet a class a month I think.Good luck to you man!

Generally, a class a month has been accurate, although they have 2 classes in August. DH8 hiring is slowing to a more moderate pace. ERJ has just picked up a class or two. CRJ is, of course, still hiring strong. 1900 is all done for now.

Aircraft deliveries have slowed considerably, allowing the training department to start catching up. With the shortage of staff however, we're looking at a potential problem at year's end with timeouts. Never a dull moment here!!

Hey,
Why wait till you get hired, move to Fla, now, that way you won't have to take a chance of not having a place to live. The commute to the interview will not be that difficult. Your coworkers at the TSA checkpoint will pretend to not notice the large black garbage bag of dirty underwear, kneepads and industrial vat of KY jelly, don't forget the Capitol One credit card though....
Nothing like aiming at the bottom!

Don't work here. Seriously. Go haul checks, flight instruct, do anything but work here.
