I got the call today for an interview next week. I have some questions if anybody has some answers, that would be great!!!

what equipment are they hiring into?
what are the most Jr. bases for the respective planes?
what is upgrade time expected to be for the different planes? (2-3 years guessing)
how big is the pool and how many classes are they running each month?
how long could I expect to be in the pool if hired?

I am already in the hiring pool at AirNet right now and I am expecting a 2 month wait for a class date, recommendations if Mesa offers me a class date or pool (go with Mesa or AirNet?)

Thanks everybody!!!

I have been at Airnet for 3 years. I currently sit right seat on a Lear. My advice to you is to look at what you want to do long term and how fast do you want to make money?

Airnet will pay better in the short term - meaning you are going to make more on the first 3 years at Airnet than Mesa.

With AN you are going to have to move so consider that if you have a wife and kids. With Mesa you can commute although that can almost as big a pain as moving your entire family.

With AN you are going to gain GREAT PIC experiance flying SP at night...and the current upgrade time is probably 2-3 years to the RIGHT seat of the Lear.

Did I mention that you are going to be stuck flying in the middle of the night??? This can tax and wear your body out more than you know.

My advice is get the Mesa interview...ask lots of questions and then make your decision.

Do you want to fly SP at night and make money working 4 days a week (M-T) with no holidays or weekends being worked; or do you want to have the possibility of going directly to a jet or Turbo-Prop making little money and having a terrible schedule for the first year with the opportunity to upgrade to a Capt. building turbine PIC time within 3 years? Remember at Airnet it will take you 2-3 years to just get right seat in the Lear.

Just my 2 cents...you can do with it what you want.
