The prospect of the possible merger of ACA & Mesa scares the life out of many, but does J.O not realize the full implications of this move. We have all read past posts entitled "I am a Pilot of one". With so many airplanes and so many furious and disgusted ACA pilots, how does Mesa expect ACA to contribute to the already slim profit margin that it will get from United. I foresee that if this merger becomes reality pilot action on the line will quickly gobble up J.O's bottom line and United and unfortunately its passengers will share the pain. Hey Johnnie, gas isn't cheap in IAD or ORD and you may need additional parking space for tedious writeups.

Easy, just listen to his weekly voice mail. He will do it the same way he has done it with you knobs from MESA. He will do it on the backs of labor. He will do it by paying FO's 22K a year.

And he will do it by contracting out MX to the lowest bidder. Ask 21 people in CLT how good that MX was?

Sad but true! Thanks to J.O. the feds decided to make everyones bags heavier & give each airplane less of a useful load & make less money. What a guy.

Uhhh....2400 hour J-41 FO....don't take this the wrong way but you have NO idea what you are talking about.

Upset with our management, totally understand. We are too. Sad fact there is only one way to keep JO from doing anything in the airline industry and that is to get him out of it.

But that isn't going to happen.

I hate to say it guys no pilot group is going to stop JO. There are plenty out there (original Freedom 150+) that are willing to be employees at will for JO. They also had another 40 in wait in case the contract got voted down.

Buddy of mine at ACA said they are a "tenacious" pilot group and will give JO a run for his money. Too bad it's the share holders that make most of the decisions. And if you fall too far out of their line, you get canned. Writing up airplanes constantly will get your a*s fired here.

Prediction: JO will takeover ACA (not what I want) and immediately remove 20-30 jets and put them on the Mesa certificate. He will then systematically shrink the airline and basically tell ACA that they are on their way out. Somewhere along the line he will throw them a bone, maybe 700's for 200 pay and break down the pilot group at ACA. Don't think it can happen? How many captains at ACA are single income, wife a kids, with no other source of immediate income?

Yeah I know, too much pride there. Give it a year and we shall see.....

I honestly wish ACA the best and hope this merger does not go through.

However, I think ACA is f*cked. If JO wants that company, he's going to get it.

F U C K Mesa!

Enjoy operating on single digit margins while JO bends you over on compensation. Those that work at Mesa are financing / encouraging this form of management.

I usually don’t post in this tone, but.....I’m here to back my brethren.

Your post was arrogant....to which Mesa employees aren’t entitled. Now crawl back into your dung pile.

Nothing like supreme resignation to raise the spirits.

You must have served some time with the French Army.

JO is a ruthless scumbag. He will surely destroy ACA, if given the chance. He is also very high profile. But here at ACA we have a couple of ruthless guys, too. Kerry Skeen (CEO, chairman) and Tom Moore (president) have been kicking ass for as long as JO, but they are lower profile. They've beaten UAL so badly, so often that UAL called in JO to fight their battle. They got $12M in 2003 rate increases right before announcing PI. They made a deal with Dornier that sent that company into bankruptcy. They tricked Bombardier into allowing them to cancel orders for 25 CRJ without penalty. JO may be tough, but he's not taking over AirMidwest, CCAir or Westair. He's playing in the big leagues this time!

Who cares if I get fired, I've already lined up a non-flying job to go along with my military reserves. Let the games begin.....

hey jackass,

tell me why i would get fired when:

1. the aircraft is broken, and needs to be fixed.

2. we are unionized (not to mention the aca guys will be running the union)

3. you have a legal responsibility to operate safely per the fars.

you mesa guys are the biggest hair-pies i have ever seen.
