Talking with a friend of mine who works for Mesa. Said that ORD has 76 FOs for the begining of new bid period starting tomorrow, and there are 80 hard lines, and this is with many people being TDY'd in. Something has to give, and soon. Many of their pilots are going to start timing out next month.

J.O. Bet you are happy with they way you treated your pilots, now on one wants to work for you!!

MESA is the scum of the earth.

I've heard they're canceling new crj classes because of no instructors?? Any truth to that, doesn't seem surprising.

why doesn't ALPA flex their supposed muscles and make him do better, then?

What? How can ALPA make people work at Mesa? If they are short they are short. I dont think that you get what ALPA is about sky. The Mesa pilots voted on the contract that they have, and ALPA enforces it for them. JO is a piece of crap, and will soon be out of business because of the way that he treats people.

After making a statement like that, I'm 50/50 as to thinking you purposely decided to throw out flamebait or you have no idea what a union actually does.

Because though I may disagree with him I presume SkyNation to be a smart guy...and the fact nobody is that snarky AND ignorant.

of course I'm kidding, and the snarkiness is intentional. the truth is, though, that some members of the OC and some of their supporters think in that simple of terms. probably all of them have not had any experience with ALPA. their mantra seems to be 'when bad things happen, ALPA will fix them, then bad things won't happen anymore.'

of course I know that it just a'int that simple

Though we disagree about ALPA I always figured you for a smart guy, no matter what those ASA folks say about you...;)

Is that the reality of their beliefs, or simply your perception of them?

You gotta admit with your anti-ALPA feelings it would be hard for you to be fully objective about the situation...much as would it be for them.

good question, who knows? I base that on conversations I've had with some and the tone of posts by others on our internal boards.

I don't think I'm anti-ALPA. I just don't bestow as much praise on them as many, and I don't think that the decision for us to join the ranks or not is as innocuous to our company as others seem to believe.

and now they just canceled vacations for those on the CRJ from now to the end of the year!!

Attention all Mesa FO's...................GET OUT!!!!!!

The house is on fire and the alarms are going off but you guys just keep hitting the snooz button.

Tough to leave when no one else will hire them! Many are at Mesa for a reason.

No one else must inculde: Republic, Skywest, Express Jet, JetBlue, Airtran, North American, & the list goes on. last time I check Mesa had 750 pilots go to other carriers in the past 12 months.

I assume you worked for Republic, how many x mesa did you fly with or were in your new hire class?
