as far as I can tell, 5

It's a consequence of winning the UAL deal. UAL apparently won't let Mesa fly for another hub carrier at UAL hubs. Mesa equally wouldn't be permitted to fly for AA at ORD, for instance.

The FRNT deal is being extended to Jan 2004 to permit FRNT to make a graceful transition.

I think...

the proper title should be "Mesa throws Frontier over for UAL in expansion deal" in never ending attempt for a way to make JO and his crionies rich.

Makes sense.

35 jets now and maybe 25 more later or 5 now maybe 7 more later. Since they were losing money anyway with Frontier's fee structure, seems like for once it's a smart business decision on their part to switch.

Any idea how many Jets Mesa operates for Frontier?

Do you mean when the fly at all???

Hi!

Just announced in the last few days:

Mesa has a new deal for more airplanes with BOTH UAL and Frontier.

They are going to a fee-per-departure deal w/ Frontier, which is a better deal for Mesa than before.

THat would go completly against the other articles that have been posted. It even quotes Mesa saying "its business" 60 jets vs. 5. Can you post a link?
