Now, maybe I am just way out of touch here..but JO says Mesa has existing United Express flying now...and is very competitive to get more! I've never heard of that now...unless UAL connects PAX thru a codeshare or something.

BUT, if you call 1-877-MESA-CEO you will get to hear JO himself share his opinion about whats going on.

Personally, I think JO has good insight and I think MESA is growing fast, but that doesn't mean I like it.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

That is old news. Mesa will be flying for UEX out of Denver to replace Air-Wis 328's. This is scheduled to start in July.

Run a search and you will find all the details.

united just put all their express flying up for bid. it remains to be seen who will get to do it. I'm sure Mesa will be competitive given their cost structure.

If United chooses Mesa, they deserve each other.

United has said that they will automaticaly drop the highest and lowest bidder for the contract. They will drop the lowest bidder beacause they know that company will not be able to make enough money to meet thier operating costs and remain profitable. It is believed that MESA will be the lowest bidder. We'll see...

United and Mesa

If you look at the DOT numbers for Mesa, they are very good. They might not be a great company all around, but they do run a tight ship and have with their HP operation for years.

As for dropping the highest and lowest bidders, bad idea. I would think that SKYW would be able to be Very competitive, given their non-union arrangement, AND their quality.

Personally, I bet Mesa gets some RJS with UAL.
