I'm wondering what kind of company Mesa is to work for? I've sent in a resume and waiting to hear back. Any info would be great. Thanks.

Mesa Air is quite possibly the worst mistake you will make in your career. You will make a pitifully small salary, be treated like trash by senior management ( DOWN WITH J.O.!), and earn the contempt of your peers.

Welcome to hell, enjoy the ride

What, so you can tell him the same things we've said. FUK JO.

Pay no attention to the holier than thou attitudes on here from guys at other regionals. Most of them fib about how much they make and how many days off they have anyway. Honestly, had a guy at ACA on the Dorkjet try to tell me he made $125K/year as a 4th year captain! ROFL.

Mesa isn't the best place to work, nor the worst.

Pay is lower than some others, but on par with COex. Upgrade time should be reasonable considering the growth rate for the next few years. Tons of bases depending on which aircraft you get. I believe they also do the hiring screening for AirMidwest and therefore you could end up in the CRJ, ERJ, Dash8, or BE1900. Don't get discouraged if they offer you the 1900, upgrade would probably be very quick.

When it comes to getting hired at the majors (if that is your goal) no one will care much which regional you worked for. Hundreds of Mesa guys have been hired at all of the majors and most of the nationals too, especially JetBlue.

hope that helps.
