Rather than trust a site that can't be guaranteed, or just slamming the rates here are the rates straight from the ALPA site.
Keep in mind that upgrade on the dash is about 6 months if you have the time.

Word has it from one of your furloughed guys (who isn't comming back) that they offered a Dash Capt. to a guy just off newhire IOE because he had over 2000tt or something like that.

If you look at our company website under "pilots" Allegheny still says upgrade in 24 to 36 months. It doesn''t mention anything about downgrade.

Keep in mind that both of these were signed near the same time. And the Horizon has a higher Pay Scale for there Q-400. Mesa pays the same all the way from 30-74 seats. Mesa has let the bar dip.

Wasn't Horizon's current contract ratified pre-9/11, whereas Mesa's was less than a year ago?

Mesa's is newer which makes it worse. They new what Horizon was making and still took 6.81 $ an hr less for first year FO's

To do the very same Job, and it is just that a Job. The cool feeling wont be there the third Christmas in a row you spend alone in some Hotel room hudreds of miles from your wife and kids.

However I dont blame any new hires from going there. Even Mesa beats the heck out being a CFI. Just know what your singing up for.

Can't knock the Mesa pay rates, b/c you'll upgrade faster. You'll be a five-year FO at Horizon while your buddies who started at Mesa will be jet captains.
