Mesa Air Group Announces Enhanced Codeshare Agreement with United Airlines

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 17, 2003--Mesa Air Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: MESA - News) announced today that it has signed an agreement to create a codeshare relationship between Mesa Air Group subsidiary Air Midwest, Inc. and United Airlines.

This agreement is in addition to the existing United Express agreement for regional jet and Dash-8 turboprop service between Mesa Air Group subsidiary Mesa Airlines, Inc. and United Airlines. The agreement allows the United designator to be added to Air Midwest flights operated under its preexisting US Airways Express agreement. Currently, Air Midwest operates 240 flights a day as US Airways Express.
Air Midwest operates a fleet of 42 Beech 1900 aircraft throughout various regions of the country with its primary areas of operation in the Midwest, Southwest and Northeast. Air Midwest is also a large provider of service under the Department of Transportation's Essential Air Service program, providing air service to rural communities throughout the United States.
To further support Mesa Air Group's Air Midwest operations, the Company has appointed several new management personnel at Air Midwest. Stephen Tillotson, 45, has been named VP-Flight Operations. Stephen had been with Mesa since 1988, most recently as Director of Operations for Mesa subsidiary Freedom Airlines, Inc. Robert Ramirez, 59, has been named VP-Maintenance. Robert was most recently VP-Technical Services at Mesa and prior to Mesa, served 30 years with the US Air Force. Additionally, Gary Lightfoot, 40, has been named Senior Director of Training; Scott Savoie, 28, has been named Senior Director System Operations; and Tim Willett, 32, has been named Director of Technical Publications.
