I would say that they do apply to me and I could teach the instrument approaches without the double I.

FAR 61.195(c)

I can teach the approaches because the instrument training is not for an Instrument rating or type rating.

Chandelles, lazy eights, and pylon eights do not appear in the Private ME, Commercial ME or MEI PTS. I would suspect that those are eliminated, just need to make sure the FAA knows that because that was not the answer we got, or at least that the CFI claimed he got.

Well, the guy that does the MEI's here for us would have passed you. My last MEI got asked this exact question and this question only (of course, he already had the CFI-Instrument).
