Anyone know if you can keep a Class I exam while on any blood pressure and or cholesterol lowering medication?

Thanks,

flying

Yes you can, bunch of hoops to jump through ekg, etc but pretty simple process if you have a good ame

Medicals and meds

It is truly surprising the health problems one can have and still fly. I've heard of people who've had MIs who get medicals. I knew a gentleman years ago who had high BP who finally got back his medical.

Try www.leftseat.com for an excellent medical website. AOPA provides excellent, confidential medical counseling for members. It's worth it for the counseling services alone to join AOPA, notwithstanding the other efforts it exerts to keep airplanes in the air.

Thanks

Thanks for the info guys! Do you guys know of a good ame in the LAX area? My brother just started the meds, I haven't had a problem but trying to be prepared.

Thnaks again,

flying
