My wife has a chance at a great job in Orlando and we would have to move, my option would be to transfer to ORD and commute, anybody doing that commute? (beside the 10,000 united mailine guys). Is it impossible? I have commuted before and am extremely against trying to do it again but you know you have to keep the wife happy right?? Any input or adivce would be greatly appreciated as this has been an extremely difficult decision for me and for her. Thank you in advance!

Chicago is doable, but MDW made my life alot easier than ORD (Thanks to SWA)

I concur, SWA is the easiest to commute on. I did it for 6 months and while I preferred getting into ord with who ever. It was just easier to get to midway on SWA. Your real problem is going to be xmas and the spring. Jumpseating then is damn close to impossible. Your best options in the peak times are the legacies, mainly because they cost more. Good luck, commuting sucks period.

I commuted to MCO for just about a year, and while possible, it's no fun. SWA is the key to it all, in a full year of communting on them, I never got bumped off of a flight that I tried to get on. Midway would be the key.

YUK! I dont envy anyone trying to commute out of MCO to anywhere. Took me 4 legs to get home once.
