May ASA class date info?

Anyone Gotten the call for the May class date yet? Just wondering here in the pool. Sounds like most new hires got around 2 weeks notice for the 4-12 class.

I have a pretty good source that says it is May 10th The guys in the April class seemed to have been called 2 - 2-1/2 weeks before their class, so someone should receive a call soon. Who really knows though?

ASA Classes

I was just in this week for an interview and I heard Capt. Julie Skogland(sp?) say that the May class was upcoming and they had almost filled it with poolies. she did not specify a date though, although I would guess it will be May 5-10 range. She said it would be 20 just like the others and there will be a class of 20 every 30 days till the end of the year.

Some new hires from the March class got ATL award in the May prelims. Maybe it will hold.

Almost all newhires have been getting assigned to DFW. There have been a few per class that get the ATR or -700 in ATL.

We're supposed to have two classes per month for the rest of the year.

Correct. I meant that once assigned DFW, some of them bid back to ATL, and the May prelims shows they got the prelim award. Dont know if it will hold or not.

No idea on the pool, but I was interviewed the first week of March. Probably would've been in the April class w/ my interview mates if not for numerous PRIA requests trickling back in (my best guess). So I don't think the pool is terribly deep, but that's just a WAG really.

I would guess they've filled the May class by now.

I got my letter today which is why I was asking. I was hoping that there was a chance I might get called for the class on the 10th next week. Who knows, mabye I'll get lucky.

I E-mailed my resume in on March 1st and planned to fax and mail one every week or two, but before I had a chance, I got a phone call on the 2nd, interviewed on the 15th. I really don't know why I got a call so soon, I don't have exactly stellar flight time (2300 hours and 135 time) I did have a LOR from a friend at ASA who I have flown with (but he didn't have a chance to "walk" it in).
