Sorry in advance that this question is very vague. I have a 135 checkride soon and the examiner wants me to explain the "durration" that I can fly IFR in a single engine airplane with passengers. I thought he may be looking for the answer 6 months. When I told him I wasn't sure that I understood the question, he said, "well, you can't have passengers, depart IFR, be IFR enroute, and land IFR." Any and all suggestions and responses are appreciated.

It used to be that single engine IFR under 135 was prohibited. That is no longer the case. I guess I too am having trouble understanding the question.

135.163 is the equipment requirements for single-eng IFR.

It's usually Caravans and PC-12 that are 135 qualified. Most SE pistons have to have acceptable mods to provide the necessary redundant electrical power.
