Somewhere = EHAM

in case it's not too late, roadking64, our local flight instructor interviewed the day before yesterday in ADS. i don't have real specifics to tell but will let you know what i can.

he said there were 3 interviewers. they were given a written exam and required to make an 80 or better on it. it sounded like it covered a little bit of everything. there was also a simulator ride which involved an ILS and NDB approach. the rest of it was get-to-know-you stuff.

he got hired and was offered to start class july 6 or to go in the pool. apparently they keep a small pool of 2 to 4 folks. he said the chief pilot was a really great guy and the CP told him he understood if he wanted the pool so that no bridges would be burned with his current employer. it sounded like he almost encouraged it. swimming time is a few weeks or a month or so.

current bases mentioned were wisconsin and tennessee, along with one or two more i don't remember. he left with several pages of van performance and systems stuff to learn.

FYI - he has around 1700 hrs, mostly all dual-given, with very little ME, maybe 20-30 hrs.

Good luck!

normally, theres two, if not one interviewer.

the written is right out of the Intstrument Gliem(sp?) book.

the sim is one prec, one non...inbound counts more than anything.

bases are all of the MRA ones, and now the old MDC routes.

upcoming bases will include... :eek:
