Well, it's a done deal and is supposed to be completed by the 1st of May. Mid-Atlantic pilots will be receiving a detailed notice shortly. I'm not sure what will happen to the guys at Mid-Atlantic. I assume pilots with regular runs will be safe in their base cities. I understand the floaters or "standby" guys at Martinaire must be based in Dallas or San Antonio so MAF's floaters may have to relocate.
This is not a merger, it's an aquisition so Mid-Atlantic will cease to exist. Mid-Atlantic pilots will have new bosses at Martinaire and nothing further to do with Mid-Atlantic or Atlantic-Aero.
Also, There is talk that the Mid-Atlantic pilots have to go through the entire Martinaire training program for insurance reasons and have to sign a training contract in order to keep their jobs.
Anyone have any "actual information" other than rumors?
