Hanbury Manor? It's great if you like sensory deprivation tanks...

Ok, it's not that bad. A little drafty, big, old rooms but nice. No internet in the rooms--I think the tea room has wireless. Really nice golf course on the property (that's the purpose of the place). Should have no trouble getting a tee time, this time of year.

Take a cab down to the village (1 mile or so once you're off the property) and there's a nice little pub.

It's 45 min from Luton--same drive time to the Regent's Park Marriott. You going into Luton or Stanstead? If you can talk them into Canary Warf, THAT's the ticket, IMO. TC

Hanbury Manor is nice if you want that old world feel. He was right about there being a nice pub down the road on the left.
Say hi to Posh and Becks!

I like the Hanbury for a night or 2 (max)

nice and quiet, decent restaurant, and big rooms for the UK.

The bar downstairs near the locker rooms has a nice Scotch selection!

oh, and no internet is nice sometimes...

:)

Thanks for the info. Never made it to EGSS had to divert to EGNX for the night because of the snow the other day.
