Mar-El is run by Bob Edwards, brother of Bill Edwards who used to run Nashville's most successful Lear charter op until he sold it four years ago or so to Averitt.
Last I heard, Bob had a Lear 25 and was looking at getting a 35; Nashville charter is SLOW right now, pilots were previously paid by the trip, hence the probable reason for the opening: wasn't making enough money and found somewhere better to go.
Bob himself is a decent guy, expects hard work, doesn't take excuses, if you don't cut it you're gone. Planes were maintained decently, pilots weren't expected to do much except clean the interior after flights (standard f/o stuff).
