He is not facing prosecution, health officials said.
"I'm a very well-educated, successful, intelligent person," he told the paper. "This is insane to me that I have an armed guard outside my door when I've cooperated with everything other than the whole solitary-confinement-in-Italy thing."
Haha! That's like saying, "I am a really trustworthy guy, except for that time I embezzled all that money."
The man told a newspaper he took the first flight from Atlanta to Europe for his wedding, then the second flight home because he feared he might die without treatment in the U.S.
WTF! Throw his A$$ in Jail
It was while the man was in Rome that he learned further U.S. tests had determined his TB was the rare, extensively drug-resistant form, far more dangerous than he knew. They told him turn himself over to Italian health officials and not to fly on any commercial airlines.
This guy has absolutely no regard for anyone around him. I am just thrilled he didn't fly on Delta out of ATL....thats publicity we don't need right now.
What's even more strange is that this person met with his doctor AND the CDC at the same time and they did NOT order him NOT to fly. They recommended he NOT travel, but there was no order NOT to travel or that he was a health risk. WTF happened all of a sudden to warrant the no-fly order????
And, this story also underscores how easy it is to sneak back in the US through the Canadian border. Leave it to some schmuck from CBP to disregard a name on the warning list!
