With the Air Force accepting pilots with LASIK surgery now, has anyone made the move from the airlines to the Air Force? What would be the best course of action to make it possible? With previous flight time does the flight program change any? Thanks for the help guys,

No, they treat every student in UPT the same... Like you don't know anything.

do a search on this forum for what previous flight time does for you at UPT. It helps some, it hurts some. The idea is to go into UPT with a humble attitude and an open mind. Don't let those IPs get the vibe that you know something they don't because you have 1500 hours in a bugsmasher and jerkin' gear in an RJ.... they'll eat you for breakfast.

The AFOQT may bee alitle touf if u kan't sphell air force.

Seriously. Look into the ANG.

That is not completly true. If you go through Corpus in the C-130 track you can proficency advance through the program. I know because I did. You can cut off about 1 month off the program down there.

But isn't that dealing with the more self passed Navy then the 'we don't care, this is the time line' Air Force? The CFII's and commuter pilots in my class weren't given any kind of proficiency advance in any phase....
