What do Maintenance Coordinators/Controllers get paid?
I oversee the maintenance on a couple of the jets that I fly in addition to my normal captain duties. What would my employer have to pay to have a qualified person do this pain in a** task.
Just like to know what I'm worth... Thanks to all that respond...

That's a great idea to increase your salary.

I imagine if you hired a secretary, for $8 an hour or something like that, just to do the paperwork shuffle, CESCOM, PROPARTS, bills, etc. you'd have to pay her about $20K annually when you include benefits and workman’s comp.

On the other hand if you’re not a licensed A&P so you shouldn't be making the 50K-70K they would charge to be a director of maintenance.

So somewhere between those two extremes is what I think a maintenance "controller" is worth, especially if your duties entail "babysitting" the bird while she's in the shop.

A good friend of mine is a Mx. Controller for a well-known Southwest US regional airline. They have a variety of turboprops as well as CRJ aircraft. He earns 40K.
