Anyone heard of Maine Aviation out of PWM? What kind of outfit is it to work for? Are they hiring?

Nothing but good things to say. They also operate a few aircraft from TEB. Mostly Citations and Hawkers if memory serves correct. Not sure about pay.

Maine Av

Good things to say? ARe u on crack???? These people are the worst! Just throw AL's name around and see the kind of responses you get. They are NOTORIOUS for treating people badly. If you live up there you either go work for them or charter ops which is a slight bit better. Maine Av pays garbage and their CP is a real loser. Trust me, stay away!!

M A

I "interviewed" there a month ago.

"You'll start in recip even if you're Lunar Landar typed" I believe is what he said.
On call 24/7 - must live within 2:00 or 1:30 can't remember "phone call to wheels in well"

If you get to a jet - when there's a vacancy in THAT type, that's what they'll make you CA in. BTW they type you when you train as "FO".

I think upgrades are doubtful.

I walked away from there thinking " he couldn't guarantee me anything except a recip position - there's better things out there for me".

But if you have his mins (I don't know them) and the recip equip he has is a step up, and you can live in the area, it might be for you.
I am in 2nd week of gs at Pinnacle NWAirlink now.

I had a friend who worked there, and although pay wasn't the best, he enjoyed it. Not a career type of company, but a good stepping stone.

just make sure you watch your ticket over there.

I believe the fsdo has a telescope from across the field to watch the operation.

Anybody hear about the challenger that got reposesed down in BDR?
