Anyone know how MAC is doing nowadays? I flew 208s for em about 3 years ago, then left (no bridges burned) to fly Dash 8s. That airline went belly-up, and yada yada yada. I shoulda waited for a seat on the Fokker. Oh well.

They USED to hire into the left if you had the flight time. I know it's not like that now, but any info on F-27 hiring/nonhiring would be appreciated (RE-hiring in my case).

Thanks in advance, Breeze

P.S.- Do the guys still play "pass the pig" in the Indy feeder lounge?

no pigs being passed

If you're familiar with mac you'll know what it means when I say "the RUMOR has Fedex buying between 85-112 ATR 72's and 42's. These will be split up between the MAC's , Empire's ,,,out around the world.
Right now at MAC we barely have enough FO to get by. We recently had one FO leave and a new hire wash out of the sim. HR says there are no plans to run a new hire class through until after the first of the year. I'd suggest you get in touch with any contacts on the F27 side you have them and see if they can get you closer to the top of the stack of resumes.

Don't know about passing a pig in INDY, I've been hanging out in that lounge for about 1.5 years now. I know sometimes it smells like a pig pi$$ed in that room. You'll have to fill me in on that one. I'm up for anything that'll break up the boredom.

Hey Skyride,

Took me a long time to get check my post and answer you. Long story. Anyway, thanks for the info. I have something lined up right now. Pt. 121 contract freight. Class is set for late January, but that can change overnight in the business. So, I'll keep you guys in mind. Are you getting any furloughed airline guys over there?

BTW, "Pass the Pig" was a game played by some of the Fokker guys. It involved flicking a small molded plastic pig across the table, and making it land in a cup or something. I guess it was a good way to pass the time. I generally napped on the recliners myself.
