Just trying to find out more about MAC. I have lots of questions, but would appreciate any help you can give!

What's the starting pay like for the Caravan? First officer on the ATR/F27?

How hard is it to get into the MidAtlantic bases? (Especially MD)

What's the average duty day like? QOL?

Is it a good company? Safe airplanes (maintenance)?

Thanks.

I interviewd there 6years ago. Back then starting pay on the F27 was $2000 a month. Their bases were all over and from what I got and they change acording to what FEDX needs.

Flying Ace,
I have never worked for MAC although I hear good things about them. From one source so take it with a grain of salt: pilots enjoy the job (@30hrs/mth), the aircraft are well maintained (ATRs came from American Eagle fleet in San Juan)and management is nice. The flight department folks are extremely friendly.
Typical schedule on the ATR is you fly @ 2200 hours to MEM and sit through FedEx's sort until 0400 and then fly back to your base.

I can't answer the staffing question. Capt pay on the ATR is $42K

Call'em up, they're very pleasant folks.
