Jackson Sues Private Jet Company

Troubled star Michael Jackson is suing the private jet company who allegedly secretly filmed him as he traveled to face child molestation charges in California last Thursday.

Jackson's lawyer Mark Geragos has confirmed the singer has filed a lawsuit against Xtrajet after it was discovered the plane they leased to Jackson for his journey from Las Vegas to Santa Barbara contained two hidden video cameras, which filmed the pair talking during the flight. The recording was then reportedly offered for sale to the media, who have offered blanket coverage of the ongoing police investigation into allegations Jackson sexually molested a 12-year-old boy. Geragos says, "The videotaping of my client conferring with me was illegal and outrageous." The lawyer has also secured a temporary barring order from a Los Angeles Superior Court judge which bans Xtrajet from showing, duplicating or selling the tape.

A spokesperson for Xtrajet comments, "We did not ask a price from anybody. We were just trying to figure out the most ethical thing to do. We made no decision because we had Michael's best interest in mind, as we would any of our passengers."

This just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Don't worry about it, they won't be around much longer. This deal with MJ is what is called "bad publicity...to the extreme." I would imagine that their customers run from them like roaches from a light. The only way to come back from this is to close your doors and reopen under a new name.

They will be history very soon. I heard they have been in financial trouble for some time, they have cut back on fleet & employee size, etc, etc,. This was probably a "wild card" that they may have tried to pull as a last ditch effort at taking advantage of an opportunity that "bad management" saw.

Geragos should attack and be relentless. Should be comparable to a "shock and awe" attack when they get to court.

Even though I have never liked MJ as an artist, and have always thought of him as a freak of the highest magnitude,

That being said

I do think that the jet company crossed WAY OVER the line, and should be sued back to the stone ages.

What about the pilots? I would be outraged if my company did something like that without me knowing. I wonder if any of the rules regarding taping the cockpit conversations apply to the cabin also?
