With F9 getting DIP financing, has anyone heard of Lynx exercising the right to their options on more Q400s or picking any more up? There is some rumor that a few of Colgan's Q400s may be headed their way. Has anyone heard this?

growth.......of their wages?

Not likely- sad wages man. some of the most pathetic in the whole industry.

Bad enough you're named after a generic cola....

DIP financing is used to get out of bankruptcy....not get yourself further into it.

That's what I was trying to find out. Last I heard, Colgan will be increasing--not decreasing--their Q400 fleet. Do you know if they're still receiving aircraft?

PNCL Corp just surrendered 10 firm orders on the Q-400 slated for Colgan due to no customers. I believe there are 20 options that still remain.

looks like more q's on the way. prob continental or united in the near future. and hopefully a union

Noone really knows about Lynx growth.. speculation runs rampant.. but thats about it.

Actual facts
1. Continental turned down some options on Q's for Colgan.

2. UAL put out an RFP for 70+ seat turboprops.

Those are the only facts as far as I know..

Official word from F9 is no new planes and we had to forfeit one option due to lack of ability to commit funds to it.

That being said it could all change in a heartbeat.. Lynx does have good loads, unreal yields and RASM and better than expected fuel burns.. guess away at anything else.

The only place I have ever seen anything about a UAL RFP is on anonymous message boards like this. I don't know if I would go so far as to say its fact.

Bump. You Lynx guys hearing anything about a CO deal in IAH with 10 or so Q's.

That is certainly one of the more popular ones these days but that usually doesn't mean much..

Interesting its being heard externally too..

Yup. Holdings/Lynx exercised the option for the 11th Q400, it's supposed to show up at the beginning of the '09 summer season. It's buried in the bankruptcy dockets for those of little faith.

What Cardinal said is the official word...

Unofficially there are rumors that 511 is on the ramp at Bombardier in F9 colors.. and L4 sure is upgrading and hiring like crazy...

Isn't life great Lynx grows and won't hire any of the furloughed mainline guys.

Don't think any furloughed folks would wanna work there anyway. I heard it is a nightmare! Better off at Lowes or Walmart.

Well I know a few people that haven't been able to line anything else up were interested. Regardless of the working conditions I can't help but feel they should have been given the oppurtunity.

It seems that there is an organizing effort underway at Lynx....I'd think that the company doesn't want mainline guys hanging around touting the benefits of a union. I'd also think that the mainline guys would be a lot more vocal than the current Lynx pilots in this effort.

I'm not agreeing with it, just pontificating.
