What do you folks think about Lynn University? They have flight classes there, and the major i want (Criminal Justice). Does LU carry any weight in the aviation community? Are the classes here any good? Let me know what you all think about this, and whether ill be better off at LU, or where i am now, ERAU.

Thanks

What carries weight is a certificate with your name and ratings on it. That's all anyone cares about. Choose the school that's best for you and go. Based just on the info you've posted, I think Lynn would be better because you can get an other-than-aviation degree there. I'd be willing to be that it's also less expensive, though I don't know for sure.

Lynn's credits cost some $600+ if I am correct and they charge a fee for just about everything on top of that. I don't see why anyone would cash out that money (especially for a CJ degree) when you can walk over to FAU the other side of the highway and can get it for much less.

There are 1000s of places to get your ratings in FL, among which Delta Connection's Satellite is just 32miles to the South of Lynn at Hollywood North Perry airport and you can do your training part time there even FSI is not that far if you want to spend more.

Just an idea...

edit: for the money you would save you could do an ATP, get some multi time, and even get a type rating in something nice... I think those would weight waaaaaaaay more. But on the other hand I am only another student, so weight my advice accordingly.
