Anyone familiar with the EMB-175 (or at least that's what USAir's website is calling it) know if a standard 22" PNT (LW) rollaboard will fit in the overhead?

My favorite deadhead city was just changed from a CRJ to the EMB and I've never ridden on one. Just wondering what to expect. Valet or overhead bin wars?

Thanks.

Oh yea it'll fit. The overheads are bigger. I fly the 190 and it's the same.

There will be some bags that won't fit when some customers stuff the $hit out of a bag and it's bulging at the seems...those will go in the belly.

No problem with overhead luggage space in the 175. It will offer a world of difference from the older CRJs. Super comfy airplane with nice seating and big windows - a very comfortable pax experience.

Thanks for the quick responses. I'm actually looking forward to the trip now.

...no gate claim valet (yellow tag) on the 170/175.... US Air policy is the same as a 737 or Bus on that....

You could fit a 26 in there with no problems. Maybe even a steamer style trunk even. It has the best cabin ever.....

The trick is to put the wheels in first. Once the wheels are in, "twist" the bag sideways and it'll slide right in...you're going to LOVE this plane! BTW--DL treats the 170 the same as mainline for "gate check" meaning except for strollers and wheelchairs, jetbridge bags go to baggage claim.

Sorry, the above just isn't true. On Delta Connection flights, even on the "mighty" E-170, you may still "pink valet tag" your bag and have it returned planeside (in the jet bridge) upon your arrival. I've done it several times, no problem ever.

All I ever did was ask...and it was done. As were others.

cheers!

Then the agents were in the wrong. Bags are supposed to be tagged to the final destination. On US they get tagged all the way thru to final destination.
