SIG...you need to read my post again. I said B2 not Buff as in B52 and yes there have been B2 losses due to birds. Also UAL lost a Viscount back in the early sixies when it struck a Swan at cruise alt!

Still wrong. The only B-2 ever lost was back in Feb in Guam, and it wasn't bird strike related.

SIG, you are absolutely correct. What the General meant to say was a B1. My error!

The B-1 bird strike crash, IIRC, had 2 pilots in the jump seats that obviously couldn't eject. And I think that's what changed the policy in the B-1 community about not having more than 4 crew on the jet.
