I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry. Here's an exerpt from CNN Travel page (http://edition.cnn.com/2004/TRAVEL/02/26/bi.no.frills.airlines.ap/index.html) about Ryanair and their attempt to cut costs.
Here are the highlights: "It recently announced it will dispense with the plane's window blinds, reclining seats, Velcro-anchored headrest covers and the seat pockets where customers normally find a safety notice and free magazines. The required safety notice will be stitched to the back of each seat"
Hey Ryanair, here's a few more ideas to save a few bucks:
1. Just make the folks file past the back of the plane as they are boarding so they can load their own bag.
2. Save fuel by turning packs off (reduce bleed air requirements). Oh ya, remind passengers to wear thermals and heavy winter jacket.
3. While you're at it, just don't buy the pressurization option on the 737, just make sure dispatch files you low.
